You’ll work closely with another established and talented Front-End Developer on designing and developing our site to ensure users have a great experience when visiting, taking into consideration different browsers, operating systems and devices.

You’ll be responsible for building and enhancing new features and applications to create high performance, functional (yet beautiful) web solutions working with HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, jQuery, GIT and other current front end technologies. You’ll build an engaging, interactive user experience on the web by designing and implementing responsive UIs, develop web applications and implement their automated testing.

  • Use requirements and prototypes to develop new features and enhance/test updates to the existing code
  • Jointly responsible for all front-end implementation

  • Help implement and build prototypes for testing with standard methodologies in mind using prototype tools
  • Review designs and suggest alternatives to the user flow or experience to reduce complexity of the build
  • Support the introduction/extension of UI technology to ensure that the team remain on the cutting edge of the industry

About you

You’ll have previous experience in a similar role embracing web and app development, and have the ability to visualise and contribute to amazing designs and UX. You’ll be ready to put your knowledge into action of web development tools and programming languages, including HTML5, CSS3 and some JavaScript / jQuery. Having worked alongside and in development teams, you’ll have understanding of responsive design and build, and modern UI development technologies principles. You’ll have experience with Photoshop and Illustrator, and of creating design wireframe and knowledge of CSS pre-processors (SASS, LESS), Bootstrap and other responsive HTML frameworks, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Razor and Distributed Revision Control / Source Code Management (E.g. GIT). Ideally you’ll be familiar with Agile methodology and interactive design (SCRUM, KANBAN), continuous delivery, CSS frameworks (BEM, SMACSS, OOCSS), front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, Knockout. You’ll be inquisitive and eager to keep up to date with tools and techniques used to create the front end of a website, and be aware of how the field is developing.
